The 14th annual ranking of UK companies was announced in the Sunday Times at the end of February. Namely, ‘The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2014’ ranks and highlights the best of Britain’s motivated workforces. The publication release date has become a highly anticipated event in the MEC calendar. The news that MEC had achieved a position in the top 100 list for the fourth consecutive year was warmly received.
MEC was placed at 44 on the list, making us the highest ranking media agency over the last four years combined. As well as the fantastic ranking, MEC received praise from The Sunday Times. This included mentions of some of the good things we’ve done as a company over the last year, with special recognition of the successes in providing leading edge training opportunities.
The overall rankings are broken down by a number of sub sections with MEC recording a top ten score within the personal growth subdivision. As well as this MEC also featured within the top ten of companies in ‘security’ with 80 per cent of MEC employees feeling secure in their job. MEC also ranked highly in the learning and growth division achieving a percentage score of 71. This figure was heavily attributed to 81 internal promotions in 2013.
A total of 897 businesses and organisations registered to take part in our four surveys this year so to attain such a high finish is yet another remarkable achievement for MEC. The leading 325 companies are recognised in four lists, which you can view by clicking here.
