Tinderisation
Since its launch in 2013, Tinder has been inspiring the latest trend in mobile user behaviours. Swiping right is now indicative of a positive sentiment. Brands such as Victoria’s Secret have embraced the swipe right functionality allowing user-centric content to algorithmically and dynamically populate their site.

YouTube
YouTube have released a new 6 second non-skippable ad format which will allow advertisers to be less intrusive but increase engagement. Creating content with a media first approach will ensure advertisers maximise impact in formats that are most engaging and relevant to their environment.

Google I/O
May saw Google host their annual Input/Output conference, covering a range of future developments. In this edition we take a look at two of Google’s new platforms. The first being “Allo”, their messaging app hoping to rival Whatsapp and Skype, and secondly Daydream - Google’s Android powered mobile specific VR platform.

Euro 2016
With Euro 2016 around the corner, one area which is becoming increasingly important is the role of second screening. A recent study indicates that 60% of fans will share Euro 2016 related content – making this a potential goldmine for marketers. With other major events coming up this summer, including the Rio Olympics, we can expect to see these trends continue into the near future.

That’s all for this month, if you have any questions the team will be happy to help.

We’ll see you in July
