On Sunday 15th May ITV celebrated the Queens 90th Birthday with a live broadcast from Windsor Castle. To make this an extra special night audiences were treated to a royal-themed ad break.

The break - set on the Coronation Street cobbles - saw 11 brands taking part in “a unique, extended” commercial that lasted two-and-a-half minutes.

If you didn’t see the break last night then you missed MEC Manchester’s very own Dr Oetker Home Baking appearing alongside Cadbury, McCain and Ribena. This was a fantastic result for the AV team here in Manchester! Both MEC & Dr Oetker Home Baking have been incredibly brave embracing this unique partnership and I think you will agree the final piece looks fantastic.

If you missed the ad break you can watch it below

ITV Commercial’s Deputy Managing Director, Simon Daglish, said: “This is a hugely complex, ambitious project providing a great way for our commercial partners to come together to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday. It’s another example of the real opportunities for advertisers to work with ITV to create stand out creative and impact for their brands. We continue to innovate in our airtime and are delighted to have delivered a true media first to mark this amazing occasion. This is a brilliant demonstration of what our ITV AdVentures proposition can deliver for brand partners.”

Using MEC Brand Presence we have pulled out that between 14th – 16th May there were 880 mentions of the ad break and of the brands included Dr Oetker got more mentions than any other brand…even more than Paddy McGuinness!
