We celebrated Halloween in the usual MEC Manchester tradition, by holding a cake sale (we like cake) and hosting a pumpkin carving contest. Several members of the agency entered, with Laura Sweeting emerging as the victor in the baking competition and Dan Alderson taking home the spoils with his Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired Jack Skellington-carved pumpkin. The day was all in aid of raising money for media industry help and guidance charity NABS. Keeping with Halloween, on Monday 7th November, 20 brave members of MEC went down into the tunnels below Manchester on a trip organised by Flecky Bennetts walks. Everyone had a great time - despite some getting more than a little scared down there. Next, as part of our latest efforts to raise money for Elise for Life, our very own Cherry Jackson flew all the way to China to spend 5 days trekking 49 km on the Great Wall of China as part of a group of 120 people. In total they raised over £200,000 for Elise For Life so a big well done to them!
Finally his month sees both MEC Manchester’s Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director, hit landmarks in their service to MEC. Mick Style has now been part of MEC for 20 years whilst, Emma Slater celebrates 15 years with the company. Congratulations to both of them!
